Now I'll be the first to tell you that my job is most certainly piloting this giant desk you're sitting at. That fact is something that I have come to expect. I say this, and I say that, and I push a lot of paper. But being the Fleet Commander does have its bonuses too. Like commanding the RS flagship. As much as possible, I try to get off of Blethmore and this dreary Command Dome and head up for the stars, where the Rebel Spirit waits for me. Let me tell you a little bit about her...

The Rebel Spirit is a Mark II Star Destroyer, produced by the Empire, and refurbished by the New Republic. Now I know you are probably asking yourself, why is a New Republic battlegroup being headed up by a Star Destroyer? Well the first thing that I have to tell you is that latest reports from Coruscant indicate that Princess Leia is still using the Star Destroyer Rebel Dream as her flagship. And, well, if she's not rebel, I don't know who is.

On a more personal note to this particular ship, it is of special interest that she never served the Empire in battle. The Rebel Spirit was captured at Imperial Shipyards when she was 95% complete. But she had still not been commissioned and had never flown in anger against the New Republic. The crew that captured her loves her, and serves her to this day. Turning a vessel of terror into an envoy of peace and justice truly is the rebel spirit, which lends the name to the mighty vessel.
